Launched in 1978, CdGH operates under the guiding ethos of 'Good Sense, Good Quality.' Designed by Rei Kawakubo until 2003, the line is now under the purview of her protegé Junya Watanabe. While CdGH is more conservative and traditional than the disruptive Homme Plus line, it still challenges conventional menswear. It acts as a buffer between other Comme diffusion lines. With Junya Watanabe now at the helm of CdGH, the line bears some aesthetic similarities to his eponymous line, with patchwork and unique textiles at the forefront of contemporary CdGH collections.
