MasterCraft Union, the newest brand arrival at FEATURE, is a Japan-based apparel label that was started by Hiroyuki Yoshikawa in 2014. MCU embraces vintage Americana, Western wear, utilitarian aesthetics, and military-inspired styles in their pieces, creating a diverse plane for opportunity and creation. 

MasterCraft Union's brand ethos is based on Takumi: the pursuit of mastery through relentless dedication and attention to detail. The brand's Takumi artisans approach their work with a deep respect and testament to their lineage.

MasterCraft Union's primary focus is their selection of Japanese denim. Each piece is handcrafted in Okayama, Japan by denim artisans using premium cotton sourced globally. The lands of Okayama stand as a beacon for textile craftsmanship, dating back to the 19th century, making it the optimal location for denim-making. Additionally, indigo dyeing holds a rich history in Okayama. MCU's artisans use traditional dyeing techniques to yield color depth and richness that sets the fabric apart from any other.

The latest arrivals from MasterCraft Union include three colorways of their Showa Relaxed Jean. This silhouette has a vintage wash with distressed details. Some signature elements of MCU denim include the decorative golden bar tack, custom hardware, and the back pocket woven label.
