In 1904, two individuals by the names of Frank Mitchell and Charles Ness joined together in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to instill Mitchell & Ness Sporting Goods. The company initially began specializing in tennis racquets, and then progressed into manufacturing custom-made golf clubs. Mitchell & Ness came into contact with a massive milestone in 1993 when they were tasked with making custom NFL uniforms for the Philadelphia Eagles. The partnership continued moving forward for the next two years. In 1938, Mitchell & Ness entered the professional baseball realm, making uniforms for the Philadelphia Athletics.
